It's ironc both fight to end fighting. If they really want peace they should make peace with etcother(bad English) first and the Assassin-Templar war is the reason they can't atchive their goals. War = Chaos. Assassin's: Freedom = Chaos = War. Templars: Controll = Rebellion = War, but Assassin's and Templars: Controlled Freedom = less Chaos and Rebellions = Less Wars

If i had to choose a side in the games:

AC: Assassin's ? Templars

AC2: Assassin's > Templars

ACB: Assassin's > Templars

ACR: Assassin's ? Templars

AC3: Assassin's < Templars
