Just for the record, sirs, I am an American.

I have loved studying 18th Century history, paricularly the American and French Revolutions since I was a wee eighth grader, and my fervent desire for a good American Revolution-themed game has lead to my ravenous consumption of every scrap of media Ubisoft has released thus far pertaining to Assassin's Creed III.

Truth of the matter is, I've always been a bit of a redcoat fan, and these days I can easily hold both sides of the Revolutionary Waron an even plane; championing the bravery and deploring the immorality of parties on both sides of the conflict. All things being equal, very nearly did I soil my breeches upon viewing the spectacularly animated E3 trailer, redcoat-bashing included.

Having said all that, I very, very VERY much wish I had the reasources to make a response trailer to that absurdly biased 'Rise' trailer from the Loyalists' perspective. Perhaps it could be titled 'Fall' and would include such scenes as:

Loyalist Sailor: "They stripped me naked, doused my body with boiling tar, coated me with feathers, and carried me through Boston on a rail until I could scream no more..."

Virginia Slave in Redcoat uniform: "The Governor, Lord Dunmore, promised me my Freedom in exchange for my loyalty to King George. My Master promised me a slow death if I ever ran away..."

Native Chief: "The English King drove away our French enemies, trades with us, and forbids his children from crossing the Appalacian Mountains into our Lands. The Rebels eagerly settle in our forests, burn our villages, and murder our people. They lie, steal and break treaty after treaty..."

Hessian Soldier: They refer to us as mercenaries, monsters, and killers for hire. I serve my Prince, who supports his cousin, the King of England. I do my duty, and fight alongside the English, to bring an end to the chaos..."

Loyalist Lady: "They called my husband a Tory, and they hanged him. The same night they took our property by force and burned our home to the ground. What of my children? What shall we do?"

Captured British Officer: "They forcibly marched us from New York to Virginia and back. When a prison could not be found for our containment, we were kept out in the open. Our captors scarcely had enough supplies for themselves, and so we were obliged to scavenge for food. I watched half of my regiment die of disease and starvation."

Loyalist Pastor: "The Lord Almighty commands us to submit to those he has placed in authority over us. His Majesty the King has in no way forbidden us from giving Christ the homage he is due, whereas my neighbors insist that I go against my conscience..."

There are in fact, Two sides to every war, even a Revolution.
