In the modern world, we need to be intelligent to succeed; employers are only hiring people who they know will be able to complete their jobs without assisstance. This goes doubly so in the current economic climate with companies having to ensure that their employees are actually clever enough to make them money.

And is it just me or is this getting a little off-topic?
