HMS Courage was a Man O' War in His Majesty's Royal Navy during the early 18th century, which sailed in the Caribbean Sea.
The Courage carried documents that would implicate merchants and businessmen in illegal activities. However, she was defeated in naval combat by the Jackdaw, captained by the pirate Edward Kenway, who had been hired by the Dutch merchant Milo van der Graaff to sink the Courage before she could deliver the documents.[1]
