Altaïr had problems to make the hidden blade because the material to do it was very hard and rare to find, so you expect to him to make a piece of eden, a thing with great powers with any shitty materials? plus he probably would mention it on the codex if he really made one. I'm sorry, but this sounds too stupid to discuss and they never said that the weapon was a piece of eden despite being the most probable opinion.
