Even so, the definition of a demo is vastly different today than 10 years ago. These day it means "Yeah, we'll release a demo for the gaming press or show it at some expo, but nobody will release such thing to the filthy pleb consumers, it's absurd. That would require the product to be finished on time and done in a decent manner within a solid development time. God forbid they'd form an opinion on the product and don't preorder the 240$ edition."
