I realise it isn't fair but it isn't fair on the AC3 team either to assume they are lying. I mean the team who developed the game are not the PR team that is marketing it so it is those people who chose a marketing strategy that focuses on Patriotism over elements we would normally associate with the Assassins. Connors narration about what they are fighting and dying for is a good example of what I mean. There is obviously more to the story but the PR people are choosing to focus on the fight for America rather than the duality of the conflict (which is one way is represented by Connor and his heritage). Connor even stated he was only after the Templar and not the rest of the army in one video.


EDIT: I just want to point out that -S- makes a very valid and accurate point and no matter what happens the Assassins will always face opposing forces on either side at any given time.
