Actually Desmond has Gallo, Syrian, English, Egyptian, Italian and Native American in his bloodline, as far as we are aware. And no, Aveline is not a Mentor (Agate is) and if she was, being in New Orleans while Connor is much further north would make it hard for her to be Connor's Mentor at all. It is very likely that Aveline is older than Connor by quite a few years (since she is already an adult and killing French soldiers by 1768 while Connor doesn't even join the Order until 1770).
