The AC engine is far from perfection. I am not saying AC looks bad, not at all, AC1 was revolutionary for it's time, ACII was great, AC:B was good, AC:R was also really good, but it is far from perfection the game suffer from pop in, crashes, probelms with the models, and even faces *The guy at the Library door looks so...plastic* so I cant say it's perfection, but overall it is great.
