OR the possibility still remains that the code traveled somehow to Desmond and thus he can view those memories as well. But those are a different line, not Haytham's, and thus has no relation to Connor.

Yes but the only way to view her genetic memory is if Jenny's child leads into Desmond's line as well as Haytham does. If Jenny's line died, then those memories wouldn't exist. Think of it this way.

Edward ---> Haytham ---> Connor ---> <insert Connor's child> ---------------------------->Whichever of Desmond's parents that got that code.

The "--->" represents how the particular DNA travels. Now assume it this way

Edward ---> Jenny ---> Jenny's child -------------> Nobody(if the line ended somewhere) OR someone else that is not Desmond, maybe Clay. OR the possibility still remains that the code traveled somehow to Desmond and thus he can view those memories as well. But those are a different line, not Haytham's, and thus has no relation to Connor.
