That being said, I don't trust Ubisoft's animations to make the best out of them. After all, they seem to be recycling Connor's tomahawk moves into Edward's swords (not to mention the complete lack of unique animations for short weapons in AC3).

I know they've done it before with some of Altair's moves into Ezio's moveset, but they gave him plenty of other animations, and they didn't seem to stand out so much than they do with the whole "OMFG, look how elaborate these select few kills appear! GAZE AT THEM ZOOMED IN!" that's come about around ACR onwards.

I love the idea of sickles. Mmmhm, gotta has me some sickles.

I generally feel that curved weapons allow for more fluidity in combat, because you can turn away from a slash and still have the weapon do damage. That, and curved weapons create wounds that you would bleed more from.

That being said, I don't trust Ubisoft's animators to make the best out of them. After all, they seem to be recycling Connor's tomahawk moves into Edward's swords (not to mention the complete lack of unique animations for short weapons in AC3).
