I didn't mean it as an attack on you; your blog post just was sort of the last drop to make my cup overflow. ;)
That said, I did enjoy your captions. Nice change of pace for the sometimes too serious and tight-lipped metaing I've ran into...
Far as I can tell, Edward's promising to be a curious character. Sure, the pirate lifestyle might seem to be in-line with the Assassins' creed, but then you add in human foibles. Human feelings. Just good ol' fubared humanity. And that's, somehow, what I've gotten out of the trailers: Edward'll be conflicted.
