:Papal names are adopted names; the names are changed upon their accession, much like a monaech's usually is. From that moment forth they are known only as their chosen name. Papal names are adopted names; the names are changed upon their accession, much like a monaech's usually is. From that moment forth they are known only as their chosen name.
