Downloadable content (also known as DLC) refers to content released separately from Assassin's Creed II. The first DLC, entitled Battle of Forlì, was released January 28th, 2010. Whilst the second one, entitled Bonfire of the Vanities, was released on February 18th, 2010.
Both DLC packs fill the previously missing memory blocks that were originally cut from the game's design. The Bonfire of the Vanities includes a new area in Florence, the sprint-jump ability (which allows Ezio to jump twice as far), as well as the three in-game bonus memories (Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 only), allowing Ezio to explore Templar Lairs previously available only in special editions of the game.
