The 'Aqarquf Dunes was a region of the Arabian Desert located in Iraq, north of Baghdad. It was named after the ancient Kassite city of Dur-Kurigalzu, which was known as known by its modern name of Aqarquf. Sometime during the 860s, the Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq visited the dunes and the ancient city.[1]
