1794

  • July 28:
    • Maximilien de Robespierre, a French politician and Templar, was executed by guillotine in the Place de la Révolution.[1]
    • François-Thomas Germain, Grand Master of the French Templars, was killed by Arno Dorian in the Templar crypt beneath the Temple in Paris. Before his death, Germain killed Élise de la Serre using the Sword of Eden.[2]
  • August 9:
    • Arno Dorian entered the Saint-Denis Temple, where he killed Philippe Rose and retrieved the Head of Saint-Denis. After using the Head to escape, Arno retrieved a spherical Piece of Eden from the artifact and sent it to Al Mualim in Cairo, Egypt.[3]
    • Napoleon Bonaparte was arrested and placed under house arrest for supporting Maximilien Robespierre during the French Revolution and stealing a small army to search for an artifact in Franciade.[4]
  • August 20: Napoleon Bonaparte was released from house arrest due to his powerful influence.[4]

  • May 19: Napoleon Bonaparte embarked from Toulon on an expedition to Egypt and Syria, secretly with intention of acquiring the artifact from the Saint-Denis Temple.[4]

1799

  • July 15: A soldier of the French expedition in Egypt discovered the Rosetta Stone, a stele inscribed with a decree issued at Memphis. The stele was missing part of the first script pertaining to the Assassins.[7]
