I think it would be better to rename this branch the "German Brotherhood". As far as I can tell, the creator of the page assumed that the Netherlands and Germany had the same Brotherhood on account of the fact that, in ''Revelations'', the Assassins in Germany were led by Erasmus, a Dutchman. To be honest, I don't think that's a good enough reason to assume that they were not seperate Brotherhoods. There's also the fact that "Northern Europe" is a rather loose term that, depending on who you ask or which source you consult, doesn't have a concrete definition. Some definitions don't even include the Netherlands and Germany as being a part of Northern Europe. Unless there's an official source I've missed, I think we should change the name. :I would agree with renaming this branch to the German Brotherhood. At the very least, it most certainly should not be "Northern European", as that almost always refers to Scandinavia & Denmark exclusively. I would propose "Central European" if we really intend to keep this name variant. However, I would prefer German Brotherhood the most. | |||
:Personally, I see the cities in ''Brotherhood'''s Assassin Guild system and ''Project Legacy'': Contracts as representing the bases of distinct guilds, though this is kind of an inference. There is in fact no mission in a Dutch city like Amsterdam, with Desiderius Erasmus's missions being set in Paris instead, but I don't have the ''Revelations'' book, which probably explicitly says he was the leader of the Dutch Assassins? In any case, I think that the missions involving Emperor Maximilian should possibly be set off as an Austrian Brotherhood since the game portrays Vienna, Austria and Cologne, Germany as distinct bases for missions, and possibly, distinct guilds. Name Change?
I think it would be better to rename this branch the "German Brotherhood". As far as I can tell, the creator of the page assumed that the Netherlands and Germany had the same Brotherhood on account of the fact that, in Revelations, the Assassins in Germany were led by Erasmus, a Dutchman. - I would agree with renaming this branch to the German Brotherhood. At the very least, it most certainly should not be "Northern European", as that almost always refers to Scandinavia & Denmark exclusively. I would propose "Central European" if we really intend to keep this name variant. However, I would prefer German Brotherhood the most.
- Personally, I see the cities in Brotherhood's Assassin Guild system and Project Legacy: Contracts as representing the bases of distinct guilds, though this is kind of an inference. There is in fact no mission in a Dutch city like Amsterdam, with Desiderius Erasmus's missions being set in Paris instead, but I don't have the Revelations book, which probably explicitly says he was the leader of the Dutch Assassins? In any case, I think that the missions involving Emperor Maximilian should possibly be set off as an Austrian Brotherhood since the game portrays Vienna, Austria and Cologne, Germany as distinct bases for missions, and possibly, distinct guilds.
