I dont know why people in this website overlooked this, but the cross bow is in Assassin's Creed. to acquire it you need to play through the game three times on one difficulty.[[Special:Contributions/98.156.52.243|98.156.52.243]] 13:50, January 10, 2011 (UTC)guest | |||

It says in the article that the crossbow was removed from Assassin's Creed due to historical inaccuracies. Please tell me what they are? Crossbows did exist during the Third Crusade. [[Special:Contributions/130.113.220.152|Firebat11 19:47, July 5, 2010 (UTC)]]
They did, but I don't think the Hashashashin used them during that time. FPS_Headhunter LASER GUNS BEW BEW!!!! :D 19:53, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
Granted, but historical accuracy isn't exactly a tenant of these games. I've never seen a hidden blade before (despite how cool it is), and there was no way a hidden gun existed either during this time period. They simply didn't have the technology. It should have been included. Firebat11 20:07, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

- Actually, the tecnology for the hidden gun did exist. There are evidences of firearms even during the middle ages, they only never appeared so small. The only problem with the hidden gun would be the range of the weapon and the subsequent lower damages at greater distances.
About the crosbows, they really existed during the Third Crusade, but they were big, heavy, two-handed timber mechanisms prone to failures, and not small lightweighted backpacked support weapons like originally intended. -- D. Cello 20:12, July 5, 2010 (UTC) - Firearms did exist, but not that small. 130.113.220.152 14:22, July 7, 2010 (UTC)
Assassinations with the crossbow?
I've just started a playthrough of Brotherhood and wanted to know whether the crossbow can be used for assassinations (one shot one kill, even for assassination targets). I haven't picked up a crossbow yet in my playthrough. To anyone who knows the answer, I think this would be pretty valuable information for those reading the wiki. --CasualGamer 07:27, December 27, 2010 (UTC)
