Not my favorite weapon. I don't think it will return. Anyway I'd prefer a game with real features. Not saying I hate AC but I just find the hookblade going on ziplines and a hay cart still being intact after a leag of faith rather weird. [[User:Ahaga10|Ahaga10]] 10:53, March 4, 2012 (UTC)

News

I wanted it to be set in feudal Japan, but I think this means they decided to go with the American revolution :( link1 link2 Or maybe it's meant for April's fools? --109.60.119.248 20:00, March 1, 2012 (UTC)

Incase you hadn't noticed, April fool's is a while off yet. But, anyway, why would we go all the way to feudal Japan when we should really be wrapping things up and seeing Desmond's journey end? The location of the grand temple was revealed to be in America by Jupiter at the end of revelations, so feudal Japan would lead us off the trail. Maybe in a future spin-off, but it makes more sense to base it closer to home - in Desmond's case, America.

The Character

He Should be Mohawk Native American based on time period and area

here is the link for Mohawk Native Americans http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohawk_people#American_Revolutionary_War

Does anyone know at this point who the new ancestor is?

If we did, it would already be on the wiki. Please use this talk page only for discussion on the article itself, not to discuss the game. -- Master Sima Yi 22:49, March 1, 2012 (UTC)
Not to be rude but this is what a talk page is about to discuss things. And this specific article is about the game so why can't we talk about the game?
I have to agree with you, random contributor. This is a talk page about AC3, so we should be able to talk about AC3 here. The character is half Native American, and you have probably seen the art by now (I can post a link if you haven't). We do not know his name yet Makatak7 01:29, March 2, 2012 (UTC)

I know the name of the new assassin. I heard it from an interview. When can we put it on? 07:20, March 4, 2012 (UTC)The Great Dog Demon

His name has been revealed. It's already on the wiki. Slate Vesper 07:26, March 4, 2012 (UTC)

You can discuss the games in forums and blogs, not here. We need a clear place to discuss the article itself, which is what this is for. -- Master Sima Yi 11:24, March 4, 2012 (UTC)
To discuss the article itself? You mean grammar and punctuation? I beleive this is not what a talk page is for. I beleive that the talk page is to discuss info on the article and what ever is happening in the article and for this instance it is the game. Take not of the talk on the assasin's creed embers page people on the talk page don't talk about grammar they are discussing possibilities and theorys of how Ezio died. Correct me if I am wrong but that is what a talk page should be.
I should believe Sima knows what he is talking about. He is an admin on the wiki and has a lot of experience here. Slate Vesper 17:43, March 6, 2012 (UTC)

Weaponry

Just for discussion's sake.

From the promo images, it seems the Tomahawk might be the focus weapon for the third game, as opposed to swords (at least swords are still around, being the 18th century) Also that bow and arrow might be taking the place of the crossbow as the silent ranged weapon. And a proper pistol instead of the hidden gun, what do people think? 2.102.44.200 14:44, March 2, 2012 (UTC)

That's pretty much all we've seen so far. The assassin also looks like he may also have a longer pistol sheathed, and I wouldn't be suprized to see him pick up a rifle. But besides that, I think you're pretty much right. He might pick up a saber after killing a general or something like that. And don't forget to mention that he has at least one hidden blade.

Of course, I hope he has two hidden blades. He seems to embrace his Native American heritage, so I'm interested to see how he combines it with his membership in the Assassin's order. Also, this guy MUST be either a descendant of Ezio or Altair, I'm thinking Ezio. 2.102.44.200 14:44, March 2, 2012 (UTC)

You don't know if the guy has hidden blades on his feet. 114.77.236.87 06:33, March 3, 2012 (UTC)

I've heard that idea tossed around a lot since they said Ezio had two hidden blades because it was Assassin's Creed II. But from a gameplay point of view I think it would suck. I do hope theres some cross weapon animations though, like if you have the tomahawk equipped and counter kill you might use the hidden blade in the animation, that'd be cool. 2.102.44.200 09:37, March 3, 2012 (UTC)

Take this to a blog or forum. -- Master Sima Yi 11:26, March 4, 2012 (UTC)

Can you still buy stuff?

Does anyone know if you can buy stuff like weaponry on ACIII? 114.77.236.87 06:37, March 3, 2012 (UTC)

Yes, the economy system is still in AC3. It will have some slight changes, but it will work similarly to what's already been established. Slate Vesper 06:45, March 3, 2012 (UTC)

Hookblade?

Do you think it'll return? For me, it was the best new feature in AC:R. Xeoxer 11:59, March 3, 2012 (UTC)

Not my favorite weapon. I don't think it will return. Anyway I'd prefer a game with real features. Not saying I hate AC but I just find the hookblade going on ziplines and a hay cart still being intact after a leap of faith rather weird. Ahaga10 10:53, March 4, 2012 (UTC)

It does not seem to return. -- Master Sima Yi 11:26, March 4, 2012 (UTC)

Bombs and Bomb Crafting

Does anyone think bomb crafting will return? It would seem a good weapon to use in time of war.

Speculation

The Story

am i the only one concerned with the story because im interested how they would fit the story in the American revolution maybe Connor finds the grand temple and realizes it intentions plus the native American aspect seems like a another Ezio revenge type aspect maybe The British AKA The Templar's might have killed his tribe but didn't they blame the Boston tea party on Mohawk Indians i don't know maybe a cover reply if you have any ideas 98.218.61.103 03:33, March 5, 2012 (UTC) Tyler_Payton

You'll have to wait to find out more details, I'm afraid. Everyone else is as stumped as you are at the moment. Only time will tell what the story entails. Slate Vesper 03:44, March 5, 2012 (UTC)

I don't think the British are the Templars; there will probably be Templars on both sides like on the original.

JFeather 19:07, March 5, 2012 (UTC)

I'd say the Brits are the mainstream Templars, and the Federalists are a Templar subgroup trying to carve a chunk of the New World for themselves. Anti-federalists are essentially Assassins anyway. Kalaong 06:29, March 6, 2012 (UTC)

Soundtrack

Does anyone know who are the Composer from the Soundtrack?

Gameplay

The Hunting

I have nothing against hunting games but hunting doesn't really fit with AC.I mean I don't want to be fighting a soldier and suddenly a bear comes out of nowhere and bites my head off :(
