The Ankh and the Shroud

They seem to be the same thing, they can both temporarily resurrect the dead and heal the user. Does the Ankh have the side effects that the shroud has? RomanEagle 13:19, December 28, 2011 (UTC)

The Shroud cannot resurect the dead. It can heal, and sometimes reanimate life for a short time. Think of Jesus after he died. He only came back for 3 days. And Brutus? He didn't come back to life at all, his eyes opened, but then he just died again. The Shroud also called Giovanni Borgia :FLAWED MATERIAL" when he was an infant since he was deformed. Thus it cannot stop or reverse death truly. It is a machine of healing above all. The Ankh seems to overlap its piwers slightly, but with true ressurection a possibility. As for its side effects, we haven't a clue 50.71.15.60 05:03, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

Oh god, I hope the ankh won't have the same side effects as resurrecting the dead has in Pet Cemetery. Please no creepy zombie children in AC :P StPerkele 14:16, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

I'm really sorry to reveal things but for the good of Wikia Assassin's Creed. I discovered that Ankh of the 21st century and into the hands of Desmond Miles so he would like the apple of Ezio and Ankh Inconnu-dark 12:21, January 12, 2012 (UTC)

Nowhere is the Ankh stated to be in the possession of Desmond Miles, at least in any canonical sources. Slate Vesper 18:04, January 12, 2012 (UTC)

if before the end of Volume 3 accipiter it shows that Desmondwould like the Ankh Inconnu-dark 21:34, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

I don't get what that's supposed to mean. From what you're saying, it still doesn't sound like Desmond owns the Ankh. Slate Vesper 21:50, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

Desmond's story from the french comic is non-canon. And it stays out of the articles.. --Vatsa (talkGentek) 04:37, January 15, 2012 (UTC)

Rename?

Wouldn't it be better to rename the article to the "Ankh of Eden", since the artifact seems to be comprised of the same material as the other Pieces of Eden? After all, I'd say that the reason why the Crystal Skulls are named that way is because they're made out of a crystal like substance, as opposed to the golden metal that this and the other Pieces of Eden are made of. Slate Vesper 19:39, May 4, 2012 (UTC)

No. It is never called the "Ankh of Eden." Same applies to the Crystal Skulls. Plus we don't know what material it is made of; anything is speculative. -- Master Sima Yi 20:32, May 4, 2012 (UTC)

The Ankh isn't considered canon right?
