Þjazi (anglicized as Thiazi or Thjazi) was a jötunn in Norse mythology. He was a son of the jötunn Ölvaldi, brother of jötnar Iði and Gangr, and the father of Skaði.[1]

At some point, Þjazi asked Loki to bring "the fruit of Iðunn's toil" to him, but instead of giving them the powerful artifact which he expected, Loki just gave him a basket of real apples. Þjazi was furious about this and wrote a letter to warn Loki that if there is no such artifact, Loki would not be able to enter Jötunheimr again, and he would be "served as a side dish at Hel's grim banquet."[2]
