Ezio using a zipline in Constantinople.

Ziplines were ropes stretched between two structures that, when used in conjunction with the hookblade, allowed one to quickly navigate the city.

After traveling to Constantinople and learning of the hookblade from the local Assassins, Ezio Auditore da Firenze made use of ziplines to both navigate different areas, and perform air assassinations on targets below him.[1]
