The Emperor Zhengde (26 October 1491 – 20 April 1521) was the emperor of the Ming Dynasty, known for his lackluster leadership and childish disposition. One of his preferred concubines was Shao Jun, who eventually became a member of the Chinese Assassin Brotherhood after his death.
He was eventually succeeded by his nephew Jiajing, backed by the Templars, due to Zhengde's lack of a direct proper heir.
