Yusuf Tazim (Ottoman Turkish: یوسف تعظیم) was the leader of the Assassin Guild in Constantinople during the early 16th century, and a Master Assassin in his own right.[1]

When the Mentor of the Assassin Order, Ezio Auditore, arrived in Constantinople, a friendly rivalry developed between the two – though the both of them learned a lot from one another.

Yusuf introduced Ezio to the hookblade, a device which allowed the Assassins to utilize the many ziplines across the city's rooftops.

Appearance

Yusuf wore tan Assassin robes and a headband, both with teal sashes. His weapons included the Hidden Blade, Hookblade and Throwing Knives, as well as knowing the art of bombcrafting.

Trivia

  • It is yet unknown if Tazim is his surname or his second name because in the Ottoman Empire, people didn't use to carry surnames and they mostly had two or more names. Only nobles were permitted to have a surname, but according to the Turkish language grammar, the surnames used to come before the name, unlike in western countries. If it is his surname, in Ottoman Turkish it might be 'Tazim Yusuf'.
  • Yusuf bears some resemblance with Cesare Borgia, as they both share similar facial appearances.
