Only nobles could have a surname but according to the Turkish language grammar, the surnames used to come before the name unlike in western countries. If it's his surname, in Ottoman Turkish it might be 'Tazim Yusuf'.

Yusuf Tazim (Ottoman Turkish: یوسف تعظیم) was the leader of the Assassin guild in Constantinople during the early 16th century, and a Master Assassin in his own right.[1]

When the Mentor of the Assassin Order, Ezio Auditore, arrived in Constantinople, a friendly rivalry developed between the two – though the both of them learned a lot from one another.

Yusuf introduced Ezio to the hookblade, a device which allowed the Assassins to utilize the many ziplines across the city's rooftops.

Appearance
