William M. was an employee of Abstergo Industries.[1] In 2012, he evaluated the tapes of Desmond Miles' Animus sessions that were intentionally left at the Assassin hideout in Rome by Lucy Stillman, and reminded her to not let her friendship with Desmond jeopardize the Templars' plans via e-mail.[2][1]
