"With a gentle hiss and a punctured skull, the Whisper comes and claims its toll"
―a contemporary description of the bow[src]

The Whisper of Death was a simple predator bow named for its ability to fire silent shots. It was nonetheless fairly mediocre compared to other contemporary predator bows, and for this reason, it was widespread in Egypt as a cheap weapon during the 1st century BCE.
