Wahsudan ibn Marzuban was a Justanid ruler of Daylam. He reigned from 856 until 865.
Biography
In 840, while hunting in the Talysh Mountains,[1] Wahsudan caught sight of an eagle landing on a nearby rock. He took it as a sign and ordered the construction of what became the Alamut Castle.[2] The Hidden Ones continued the foundations laid by Wahsudan[3] and eventually finished construction in 865.[2]
