Ezio, shaking off the attackers

Leonardo's Wagon appears in Assassin's Creed II, when Ezio travels to the Apennine Mountains to talk to Leonardo. When Ezio finds Leonardo, who is using the wagon to transport all of his designs and inventions such as the Flying Machine, he was trying to fix the wheel on his wagon. Ezio helps him by briefly lifting the wagon and then they both ride to Forlì. Soon they are attacked by Borgia's men, but Ezio uses Leonardo's wagon to run over horses and shake off the attackers and escape. After a while, archers begin to shoot flaming arrows at them. Eventually, Ezio lets Leonardo continue and hops off the wagon to take care of the attackers himself in a small village.

Uses

The primary use of wagons during Ezio's time was to travel with a large quantity of items such as when moving to another city, traditionally the wagon would be escorted by a few horsemen due to the bandits and other dubious individuals that lurked around the mountain passes (While not in the game, in the novel Assassin's Creed: Renaissance Leonardo was accompanied by 4 men during his travel, not all of whom survived the attack on his wagon).

Trivia

• In the novel Assassin's Creed: Renaissance it is Leonardo who drives the wagon to escape pursuit while Ezio rides on horse back to dispatch the attackers. Also in the novel there is no use of flaming arrows, the guards just have swords
• A miniature replica of this stagecoach can be found in the Villa after you complete the mission to transport Leonardo through the Apennine Mountains.
• The model of the Wagon is also needed to fully complete the Villa.
