The Village of Kausos was a small village situated on Kephallonia, the southeast corner of the Cursed Valley of Pali.
In around 431 BCE, the village was plagued by a sickness, which was dubbed as "blood fever". When the sickness got out of hand, a group of priests took things into their own hands by burning the village and killing its residents.[1]
