Vesalligr (Runic: ᚢᛅᛋᛅᛚᛚᛁᚴᛦ) was one of Suttungr's Outriders, a secretive group of jötnar spies and warriors that invaded Svartálfaheimr during the Muspel invasion.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Vesalligr accompanied his leader Riekr to Svartalfheim and then left to the southern part of Vangrinn. He tasked his warriors to find any dwarfs to capture and question, but his company spoke freely of Iaten's location among their prisoners, especially Ylva and Colborn. Both dwarven fugitives were then saved by the Æsir lord Havi, who was informed of Vesalligr's current location, which was west of Sudra Mylna, near the black sand beaches. At his rendezvous point, Vesalligr spoke with his warriors while in his wolf form and asked about any message from Riekr until they were ambushed by Havi. Vesalligr and his company fought against the Æsir lord, but he was slain in combat. From Vesalligr's personal effects, Havi obtained the Jotun Cloak.[1]
