The Vaticano district is one of the four districts of Rome, and a location in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. It is found on the west bank of the Tiber River and is the location of some of Rome's greatest landmarks, such as the Basilica di San Pietro, the Sistine Chapel and the Castel Sant'Angelo.
After the events of Assassin's Creed II, Ezio flees from the Basilica di San Pietro and the Vatican guards with the help of his uncle Mario. Later, after obtaining it's location from Lucrezia Borgia, Ezio races to the Vatican to obtain the Apple before Cesare Borgia gets a hold of it.
In the Vaticano district
In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, it is the only district in Rome that doesn't include any shops and it is the only district that does not need renovating. It is the smallest of the four districts in Rome. There are two Doctors and two Pigeon coops. The Vatican district also houses a Lair of Romulus. Also, Ezio can not access the district via the use of tunnels. It can only be accessed via the Centro district or gondola.
