Artifact Assault was a virtual training mode in the second stage of the Animi Training Program. It consisted of a 10 minute session, with four to eight Abstergo recruits being split into two teams, and the one which had the most artifacts by the end of the session would be victorious. The mode was also featured in the Animus console developed by Abstergo Entertainment.
Description
In this training mode, recruits could enter into the territory of their enemies, defined by a red border, to capture their artifact and return to their own base to drop it off. On the other hand, recruits could also stay within their territory to help defend their artifact from hunters on the opposite team.
As such, the map that the mode was played on was divided into two, and recruits in their own territory had the ability to kill, whereas recruits in the opposite teams's territory, became the hunted and could only stun.
