Artifact Assault can be played in teams of three or four. The map that the mode is played on is divided into two, and players in their own territory are hunters, with the ability to kill. However, when players are in their enemy's territory, they become the hunted and can only stun. The borderline between the territories is identified as a red line on the ground.

Artifact Assault was a virtual training mode in the second and third stage of the Animi Training Program. It consisted of a 10 minute session, with four to eight Abstergo recruits being split into two teams, and the one which had the most artifacts by the end of the session would be victorious.

Description

In this training mode, recruits could enter into the territory of their enemies, defined by a red border, to capture their artifact and return to their own base to drop it off. On the other hand, recruits could also stay within their territory to help defend their artifact from hunters on the opposite team.
