Turtles are a class of reptiles known as Testudines, characterized by the shell developed from their ribs.[1]
During the late 880s in West Francia, the Viking jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan hunted three regular European pond turtles to give at the offering altar, Sarclitas.[2]
During the Seven Years' War, Shay Cormac found a cave painting of a great turtle, as part of the story of the Sky Woman.
