The Tunguska explosion was an event that happened in 1908. It was caused by Nikola Tesla, working for the Assassins, who was trying to destroy The Staff, a Piece of Eden as a strike against the Templars. The Staff's current status is unknown, but the two most plausible explanations are that it was either destroyed in the blast, or carried away to an unknown location.
