King Arthur Pendragon was a legendary British leader who led the defense of Britain against the Saxon invaders in the early 6th century, and who would later become the king of Britain.
King Arthur possessed a sacred sword called Excalibur or Caliburn,[1] one of the Swords of Eden,[2] which he pulled from a stone.
Lucius Artorius Castus (fl. mid-late 2nd century AD or early to mid-3rd century AD), a Roman military commander, has been suggested as a potential historical basis for King Arthur.
