A trinket is a small item of value.
History[edit | edit source]
In the 18th century, numerous trinkets were scattered around the Davenport Homestead, the Frontier, Boston, and New York City. The Colonial Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton collected several of these and gave them to the man known only as "Peg Leg" in exchange for letters from William Kidd. These letters ultimately led to a map which revealed Kidd's treasure.[1]
