Rebecca states that although all families own banks, most of these banks are owned by the Pazzi family and that breaking into them (By silencing the guards) will be worth your time.

Though not mandatory, you must collect all Treasure Chests in the game to unlock full synchronization.
Treasure will respawn some time after it is taken; the re-spawned treasure will not show up on the map, though.
