In the week leading up to the 2010 G20 Toronto summit, protests and riots broke out staged by various activist groups including the Revolutionary Communist Party of Canada.[1][2]

On 29 November 2013, fifteen suspects were arrested in the city in relation to a recent cyberheist of a New York bank. The suspects were connected to Erudito.[3]
