Entrance to the tomb

The Tomb of the Suitors was a Mycenaean tomb situated in the Pronnoi Peninsula of Kephallonia. It housed the bones of 72 people and contained various valuable offerings which was believed to have belonged to ancient Ithakan nobility.

In around 431 BCE, the tomb was visited and explored by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
