Artaxerxes III Ochus of Persia (c. 425 BC – 338 BC) was the 11th king of the Achaemenid Empire, king of Babylon and the founder of the Thirty-first dynasty of Egypt.

In 343 BCE, Artaxerxes, along with his commanders Bagoas and Mentor the Rhodian led an invasion of Egypt from the city of Pelusium.
