Toffana was an employee of the Borgia family during the liberation of Rome, and a servant to Lucrezia Borgia in particular.

When the Assassin Ezio Auditore infiltrated the Castel Sant'Angelo to kill Rodrigo and Cesare Borgia, he overheard a conversation between Lucrezia and Toffana, who was on guard duty. During this conversation, Lucrezia asked him where her batch of cantarella was, adding that he should have delivered it. Toffana then revealed to her that Rodrigo had taken the cantarella for himself.[1]
