Concept art of Thorgest's Shield

Thorgest's Shield was a light shield once used by the first King of Dublin, Thorgest.

In the late 9th century, it was rediscovered in the middle of Lough Neagh, Ulster, by the Viking jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir after defeating the last two drengir of Thorgest, Hogne Sea-Tossed and Blud the Giant.[1]
