The Flute Girl was a play written by Menander. During the early 16th century, the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze discovered a hidden copy of this book in Constantinople.[1]
Summary
This obscure Greek drama from the fourth century BCE, thought lost for over a millennium, contains one of the earliest descriptions of ancient Byzantium, referring to the city as a rowdy port full of drunks and crooks.
