The Sword of Rán was a short sword inspired by the ocean and named for Rán, the Norse goddess who personified the sea.
Layla Hassan, an Assassin who relived Eivor Varinsdottir's memories, modified her Animus and included this sword as part of the shieldmaiden's arsenal.[1]

Behind the scenes
Although the description details the pommel as being carved into the likeness of a horse it is in fact a serpent or dragon.
