Sunken Temple of Eileithyia

The Sunken Temple of Eileithyia was a sunken Minoan temple dedicated to the goddess Eileithyia which had sunk into the Octopus Bay, off the coast of Heraklion in Messara, Greece.

During the Peloponnesian War the ruined temple was visited by the Spartan Mercenary Kassandra, who looted the treasures within.[1]
