Biography
Owning a small florist shop, Bean sold his products on Whitechapel's Fleet Street, alongside his assistant Joanna. He frequently had contact with George, Joanna's sweetheart and the deliveryman who brought him manure. Sometime in 1868, Bean started noticing several people disappearing from the area. He was questioned about these disappearances by Detective Murphy of the Metropolitan Police Service, who himself disappeared shortly after. Investigating the missing Detective's case, the British Assassins Evie and Jacob Frye also questioned Bean, who provided them with the same information as he had given to the detective earlier, which helped the Frye twins determine that the culprit was the nearby leatherworker Tobias Jeffers.[1]
