A sphinx is a mythical creature with the head of a human and the body of a lion, depicted in various cultures and religion.
The Great Sphinx of Giza in Egypt is one of the largest and most famous sphinx.[1]
In Greece, at some point during the 5th century BCE, the misthios Kassandra hunted down and defeated the creature called the Sphinx in her quest to retrieve the Apple of Eden that seemingly gave the creature life.[2]
