The Spartan Training Sword

The Spartan Training Sword was a sword which was used in the agoge, the Spartan educational system.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra received this sword as a reward after she escorted Makarios, the younger son of Xanthe and Serios, to the Agoge Camp North, and put up a fight with Iatrokles, the trainer, there.[1]
